Jonathan Katz is an award-winning comedian, actor, writer, and podcaster who has appeared on television and in films for nearly four decades. Best known for co-creating and starring in the Comedy Central series “Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist,” Jonathan won an Emmy award for the show in 1997. The show’s creators also won a Peabody Award for excellence in broadcasting. Jonathan later created and produced “Raising Dad,” the WB sitcom starring the late Bob Saget, and Brie Larson, and played the irritating head of business affairs on the CBS sitcom “Ink” with Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen. Jonathan’s Podcast, “Hey, We’re Back” includes segments with Sarah Silverman, H. Jon. Benjamin, Jon Dore, Tom Leopold, and many people no one’s ever heard of.

Jonathan’s first appearance on television was in 1985 on “Late Night with David Letterman”, the first of nine appearances on that show. In addition to two HBO specials, he also appeared several times on the “Conan O’Brien Show,” as well as “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno, and with Johnny Carson (respectively). He portrayed himself on an episode of “The Larry Sanders Show” with Garry Shandling. As a voiceover artist, he can be heard on Bob’s Burgers, Hopeless Pictures, Home Movies, South Park, Mr. Show, and many other programs.

"Hey, We’re Back" is an audio sketch show that some people might call a "podcast". Created by Award-Winning Comedian, Jonathan Katz (Dr. Katz), it features celebrated comedians (some of whom have been Dr. Katz’s patients) including Sarah Silverman, Andy Kindler, Emo Phillips, Garry Shandling, Jon Benjamin (who played Dr. Katz’s son, Ben), Wendy Liebman, Robin Williams, Eugene Mirman, Bob Saget, and Paula Poundstone.

Jonathan created "Hey, We’re Back," because “I was really scratching a comedic itch, a desire to create comedy after standup and Dr. Katz. Being my own boss, my love of recording since childhood.”

Some of the show’s most popular sketches have also been animated. There’s “Death Row Diet” in which Jonathan and his lawyer (played by Tom Leopold) negotiate an endorsement deal with Weight Watchers, “Holding For Miss Kiley” with some really unexpected phone interactions, and “Happy Acres” the Therapy Theme Park.
